Comfrey and Benzoin Soothing Hand Balm is a very effective hand cream, made with Aloe vera gel, Propolis tincture, herbal oils of Calendula and Comfrey and pure, essential oils of Frankincense, Benzoin and Rose otto. This fragrant, therapeutic combination works hard to replenish very dry, chapped, damaged skin, restoring it to a smooth, silky softness. Aloe vera gel contains seventy five nutrients to stimulate elastin and collagen. Proplis tincture is the resin from buds and bark of trees gathered by the bees and used by them to line the hive cells. Propolis' complex mix of resin, balsam and beeswax, conditions and strengthens the skin. Calendula is antiseptic, soothing, rejuvenating and helps to heal skin lesions. Comfrey is also a vulnerary, (heals wounds), its allantoin acts to stimulate cell proliferation.
Essential oils of both Frankincense and Benzoin are tree resins. When these trees are cut they produce the sticky resins to heal themselves. Both Benzoin and Frankincense will sooth and heal cracked and weeping skin, relieve itching, reduce redness and increase the elasticity of the skin. Rose is gently antiseptic and balances and rejuvenates the skin, returning its softness. Comfrey and Benzoin Cream is formulated to help dry, damged skin. Apply the cream frequently and rub in as much cream as the skin will absorb. The cream is rich and quite heavy but does absorb well if you massage in thoroughly. If you wear a pair ofcotton gloves overnight, in the morning the skin will feel even softer. Comfrey and Benzoin Hand Cream can be used anywhere on the body where the skin is dry, or weeping or inflamed. The balm can also effectively nourish the facial skin; be sure not to drag the skin but rub the cream in gently.

Comfrey has an ancient history, some say dating back to the Garden of Eden. It is a plant native to Europe and temperate Asia. In Ancient history, Dioscorides, a Greek botanics physician, recorded the use of Comfrey in treating the armies of Alexander the Great. In England it has been used since the sixteenth century for wound healing.
Benzoin is native to Sumatra where it grows as a large evergreen tree bearing fragrant white cup shaped flowers.The plant was discovered by the Arabs in the fourteenth century. Benzoin has a long history of use in the East as a medicine, an incense oil used for cleansing and fumifgation, and as a perfume - a fixative and a base note. In beauty creams, sweet-smelling Benzoin has a cleansing, healing action being anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.
